Hi guys! These are my empties for April and May!
Repurchase: Yes! I have already picked up a 300ml bottle in Tesco for €1.22 an absolute bargain!! I think the MAC brush cleanser retails for around €12
2. L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect - I absolutely love using this shampoo/conditioner combo when I colour my hair! I usually pick these 400ml bottles up in Boots when they have a buy one get one free offer or buy two for €6.
Repurchase: Yes! Picked up a spare bottle when it was on offer!
3. L'Oreal Elvive Nutri Gloss Masque - As you can see I absolutely love the L'Oreal Elvive range! I loved this masque it left my hair feeling lovely and soft and added a lovely shine to my hair!
Repurchase: Maybe, I need to pick up a new hair masque but I may have a little scout around Boots first! Let me know if you have any recommendations please!
4. St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish Fighting - I bought this a couple of months ago when in need of an exfoliator. Whilst it did an ok job, I can't say it made much difference to my skin... Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant (retails for around €45 I think) has since taken over in my affections. I have however continued to use this as a body scrub and absolutely adored it, it just left my skin feeling amazingly soft and looking much better.
Repurchase: Maybe, I think this retails for around €6-€7 (not 100% sure), I think I would look for a body scrub a little cheaper.
One tip I would have is to always cut the top of the container to see if there is any product remaining inside! I do this for pretty much all my empties, you really would be surprised how much is left inside! Normally I can get another week or so out if the products!!
| Can you believe how much is left inside!!! |
This is how much was left after I had scraped the rest of the product out! I got another 2 uses out of this!!
5. Dove Intensive Repair Express Treatment Conditioner - I loved this sample, it was really thick and creamy, so very easy to apply. My hair tends to be a bit frizzy, I found this conditioner really controlled that!
Repurchase: Maybe! I have a couple more conditioners to get through but I will add it to the list!
6. Umberto Giannini Curl Friends Natural Curls Styling Spray - I was really disappointed with this spray as I normally adore Umberto Giannini products. Their Flirty Curls Scrunching Jelly is an absolute HG of mine (I must do a post on it!), but the styling spray just did nothing for my hair, it made it slightly tacky and just made absolutely no difference to my hair.
Repurchase: Absolutely no way...
7. Nivea Deodorant Pure Invisible - I have a few deodorants on the go at the moment and I can't say this one particularly stood out...
Repurchase: Probably not.
8. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream - LOVE LOVE LOVE Eight Hour Cream, it is one of my HG's which I don't think will ever change! I predominately use it on my lips and cuticles or occasional dry area's.
Repurchase: Yes, already have. I checked in Brown Thomas and the 50ml was €32 which I thought was a little expensive (having bought my original tube on ebay!), I searched online and found the cutest 30ml pot on cheapsmells for just under €14 incl p&p.
9. Simple Eye Make Up Remover - Originally when I bought this I found it ok, it did its job. But recently my eyes have got really sensitive and whilst it doesn't sting my eyes it just makes them really uncomfortable.
Repurchase: No
10. Dermalogica Active Moist Moisturiser - Love this moisturiser, initially I was concerned this left my skin a little shiny but the moisturiser does sink in well and leaves a healthy glow. I have no problem putting on my primer and foundation over this. This moisturiser does last me ages, however it is a little expensive around €50 for 100ml, and the 50ml is around €35. Like the St. Ives exfoliator I cut open the container when I couldn't get any more out and was shocked when I got almost filled two travel pots with the remaining product!!!!
Repurchase: Already have, there was a 10% discount on Dermologica products in my local salon recently, however would like to try the Liz Earle Combination/Oily moisturiser.
11. Aussie Luscious Long Hair Conditioner - I absolutely loved the smell of this but whilst it left my hair soft, it didn't control my frizz very well.
Repurchase: Probably not..
I'm not sure why I have finished so many conditioners recently! It's normally shampoo's that I go through at a ridiculous rate... I'm one of those people who shampoo twice!!
Samples!!!
1. Dermalogica Ultracalming Serum Concentrate - I was recommended this to reduce my acne scarring. I'm yet to fully make up my mind on this, it feels lovely to apply on the skin but I think it would need time to be effective. However at €61 I think its a little too expensive to purchase....
Purchase Full Size: Don't think so...
2. Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint Beige 02 Medium Skin Tones - I underestimated how dark this tinted moisturiser was going to be, I looked like an oompa loompa! I'm fair enough but got a little tanned so thought I'd try this sample! I liked the consistency of this!
Purchase Full Size: Will try my 01 sample first!!
3. Dermologica Renewal Lip Complex - Whilst it kept my lips moist for hours nothing will change my love for Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream!!
Purchase Full Size: No
4. Garnier Intensive 7 Days - (Whispers) I don't usually use body lotion.... I know I should be its just pure laziness! I saw an ad on tv for a 7 day trial of this body lotion, I love trying new products so I jumped at the chance! It contains shea butter which I love as it leaves my skin so soft! Another big plus for me is that the lotion dries in really quickly unlike other body lotion which leave a greasy residue behind for hours!
Purchase Full Size: Yes definitely!!!
5. Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant - I loved this, it left my skin feeling amazing afterwards.
Purchase Full Size: Probably not I just love the Daily Microfoliant too much at the moment.
6. Shu Uemura Skin Purifier - Fresh Pore Clarifying Gentle Cleansing Oil - Even though I have oily skin I love to use a cleaning oil to remove my make up. Whilst this did a very effective job of removing my make up and only a little is needed, I found that the cleansing oil goes everywhere and I mean everywhere! It has a very runny consistency and whilst this may be ok when using a pump, it went everywhere when I was trying to get it out of the sachet!
Purchase Full Size: Probably not... much prefer Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse, which has a much thicker consistency!
7. Boot's Tea Tree Witch Hazel - Nose Pore Strips - Not exactly a sample, you can buy 6 for around €5. It does the job! I would like to try the Biore nose strips but at €13 for 6 in my local Boots I just can't justify the cost.
Repurchase: Definitely!
Let me know if you have tried any of these products! I'd love to hear your opinions!
